Galliani said Tuesday that it was not certain that Silvio
Berlusconi will sell the seven-time European champions.
Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol is expected to have a
meeting with Berlusconi on Wednesday over his bid to buy a
majority stake.
"I can guarantee that the thing that motivates Silvio
Berlusconi is the good of Milan," Galliani told a shareholders'
meeting. "If there were a sale, something which is anything but
certain, it would be for the good of Milan".
Taechaubol met Berlusconi earlier this year, but his
family holding company Fininvest denied media reports that the
ex-premier had agreed to sell a controlling stake in the club to
him.
Another consortium formed by Chinese investors has also
reportedly been in talks to take over Milan.
There have been recurrent rumours that Berlusconi is
aiming to sell part or all of Milan, which the mogul bought in
1986 before bankrolling a triumphant spell that saw them take
their Serie A title tally to 18 and their European Cup/Champions
League haul to seven.
Success has been rarer of late and the Rossoneri have
incurred the owner's displeasure with their recent performances,
leading to speculation about coach Pippo Inzaghi's job.
