Premier Matteo Renzi said Friday
he will take UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Monday to visit
the Navy's San Giusto ship, which has been at the forefront of
migrant search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean.
"I want to show him - physically and plastically - what
Italy is doing," the premier said.
"A step forward was taken (at the EU emergency summit on
migrants) but the road ahead remains long...as of yesterday (the
migrant crisis) is no longer just Italy and Malta's problem but
everyone's problem," he said.
"As of yesterday, for the first time we are saying our
brothers are not dying by chance but as slaves to a racket".
