(ANSA) Genoa, April 10 - Diplomacy needs to be used much
more than before to isolate ISIS militants and the countries
that support them, Italian bishops' conference leader Cardinal
Angelo Bagnasco said Friday.
To defeat ISIS, "the path of diplomacy must be pursued
much more" so as to reach "complete isolation," the prelate
said.
Fanatics "must feel isolated from the whole world, and
this has not yet happened," said Bagnasco.
"If the chancelleries of all the world interrupted
relations of interest and business with certain parts of the
world the isolation would be truly complete," he said.
Bagnasco did not mention by name any countries supporting
ISIS.
