Italy was the
second-largest beneficiary of European Investment Bank (EIB)
credit last year, the EU's non-profit long-term lending
institution made known Monday.
Italy received 10.9 billion euros in long-term financing,
just after Spain with 11.9 billion in loans, according to the
bank's 2014 report.
The EIB last year financed loans totalling 77 billion
euros in Europe and the world, and expects to extend 60-62
billion in the current year.
