Islamic State (ISIS) on Tuesday
threatened to kill two Japanese hostages if a $200-million
ransom is not paid within 72 hours.
The threats against Kenji Goto Jogo and Haruna Yukawa were
made in a video posted on websites close to the jihadist
terrorist organisation.
Japanese Premier Shinzo Abe expressed his "deep resentment"
at the "unforgivable" threat, adding that the lives of the
hostages were his "first priority".
