A UN report released on
Thursday accused Iraqi government forces and allied fighters of
violating international humanitarian law in potentially
disproportionate or indiscriminate air strikes and shelling of
Islamic State (ISIS) targets.
The report, compiled by the UN's Office of the High
Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) and the UN Assistance
Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), noted that ISIS jihadists had also
committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.
