Democratic Party (PD)
dissenter Massimo D'Alema blasted Premier Matteo Renzi's speech
to a PD executive meeting on his proposed Jobs Act Monday.
"Given its oratory, this government is fated to produce
extremely meager results," D'Alema said. "Fewer slogans and more
reflection...might lead to better results," the former premier
said. Renzi's proposed welfare reform "would not cost 1.5
billion euros but ten times that much," D'Alema added. "I have
serious doubts about a budget bill made up of sound bites.
