French police arrested four
suspects on Monday for allegedly recruiting militants to fight
in Syria.
The suspects were tracked down to the region around Paris
as well as the south of France for ties to "a jihadist cell,"
said French Interior Minister Berard Cazeneuve, a day after it
emerged a 29-year-old Frenchman, Mehdi Nemmouche, was in police
custody for links to the murder of three people at the Brussels
Jewish Museum last week.
Investigators say Nemmouche, who spent more than a year in
Syria, has claimed responsibility for the shooting spree.
Without providing further details to Monday's arrests,
Cazeneuve said there were people in the country recruiting
jihadists.
