Drones for all seasons will be
hovering over the Eternal City this weekend at the Roma Drone
Expo & Show.
Unmanned aircraft for farmers, filmmakers, security experts
and the military will be on display Saturday and Sunday at the
Stadio degli Eucalipti in southern Rome.
Models on display include the Predator Drone, which can
carry and fire two AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and has been used
in combat over Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, as well as in
search-and-rescue missions over the Mediterranean.
"Everything that has to do with drones will be on public
display," said event organizer Luciano Castro. "From small toy
drones that cost a few cents, to very sophisticated examples
being constantly innovated. There are a lot of ways drones are
being used in Italy, from big businesses to start-ups".
