The Boko Haram militant Islamist
group on Wednesday night killed more than 25 people in an attack
on a village in northeastern Nigeria, a day after a double
bombing killed 122 in the central city of Jos.
Boko Haram is intensifying its insurgency to create an
Islamic state in Nigeria.
It sparked international indignation by abducting more than
200 school-age girls a week ago, not far from the village
attacked late Wednesday.
