Russia on Monday said new United
States sanctions would not come without a response.
The White House announced "new targeted sanctions" against
various Russian people and companies and restrictions against
certain US exports to Russia in retaliation for Russia's
involvement in the crisis in Ukraine.
Those targeted include seven Russian government
functionaries, among them two of President Vladimir Putin's
advisors.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov called the
move "repugnant" and accused the US of losing touch with
reality.
