Italian Lower House Speaker Laura
Boldrini declared a taxable income of just 6,314 euros in 2012,
according to the Senator asset registry of Italy's current
legislature, made public on Monday.
But in an attached declaration, said she received 94,304.63
euros in tax-exempt income from the United Nations for her
former job as spokesperson for the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Boldrini's declaration specified that she had received US
$121,340.61.
