Foreign acquisitions of Italian
companies picked up in the first quarter of 2014 and were worth
4.3 billion euros from 2.7 billion in the same period last year,
according to data released by KPMG on Thursday.
The data included People's Bank of China investments in
Italian energy giant Eni and utility Enel worth 1.4 and 0.8
billion euros respectively.
