Italian house prices dropped 5.6%
last year compared with 2012, national statistics agency Istat
said Thursday.
Italy's housing market has been hit hard by the economic
crisis.
Prices also fell in 2012, although they were down by half
as much - 2.8% - with respect to 2011.
Istat said the housing market's problems were also
highlighted by a 9.2% drop in the number of properties sold.
