(ANSAmed) - NAPLES, FEBRUARY 14 - The mayor of Naples, Luigi de
Magistris, and the Fondazione Mediterraneo have signed an
agreement protocol according to which the City of Naples will
use the international experience racked up by the foundation and
by its president, Michele Capasso, for social, cultural and
scientific activities in Mediterranean countries. The scheme
will be of particular use during important events for the city
of Naples, such as the World Urban Forum and the Universal Forum
of Culture. "This is the latest step of a journey that makes our
city the capital of Peace in the Mediterranean," the mayor
commented. "Our Foundation's collaboration with the city of
Naples is based on the shared sensibilities of those who want
Europe to breathe Mediterranean values and vitality," Capasso
