Former Israeli president Moshe Katsav
(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, DECEMBER 7 - ''In Israel a man is sent to his death without evidence against him, solely on the basis of impressions,'' said former Head of State Moshe Katsav, who today will be entering prison to serve seven years after being judged guilty of rape. Katsav, pained and with his eyes swollen, appeared briefly before the press which had crowded around his house in Kiryat Malachi (Neghev), and said repeatedly that he had been condemned unfairly.
